Hi There, I Have A Questions About DVT. How Common
increasing pain/swelling/tenderness/ warmth
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
It is understandable to be concerned re any pain in the calves.
Clots affecting both calves would be very unusual, a single clot would normally form at one time in one leg. Bilateral clots in both legs at the same time is not likely to occur.
if you are having pain in both legs, this makes the chance of clots unlikely. Exercise would affect both legs in the same way and would be a more likely cause for bilateral pain.
You can consider the use of warm compress to the legs, rest as much as possible and anti inflammatory pain killers such as ibuprofen or cataflam or naproxen.
If the pain does not decrease by day 5 to 7 or it increases or there is associated shortness of breath or there is increasing size/warmth or tenderness , then you should be seen.
I hope this helps , feel free to ask any other questions
