Hi There, I Have Developed A Rash That Moves Around
Question: Hi there,
I have developed a rash that moves around my body.
I started taking antibiotics two weeks ago, the rash developed 5 days after i began.
The night it started I was in the sea in a wetsuit so my doctor has diagnosed it as folliculitus, im concerned that its not.
The rash appears, then dissapears.
They have prescribed me with more antibiotics which i'm concerned with taking in case this was the cause of the first problem

Brief Answer:
Hives
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have reviewed your query and viewed the images.
You seem to have Hives rather than folliculitis. Do they itch? Hives are usually itchy. I suggest you to take an oral antihistamine e.g cetirizine 10mg tablet once a day for a few days. In addition I suggest you to use a topical soothing lotion e.g calamine lotion to calm down the rashes.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Hi,
I suspected that, I have been on Piriton for the last week but my doctor prescribed me Fexofenadine which I have now started (120mg) a day.
They do itch, and they move around the body dissapearing completely at times.
Any impact on any part of my skin comes out in marks which concerns me.
I am now taking Flucloxicillin as the doctor has prescribed that for the next two weeks.
