Hi There, I Just Got My MRI Done And Have

Question: Hi there, I just got my MRI done and have my images but still waiting for a report. But I’m curious about something I saw on the images and it’s really worrying me. There’s an irregular small formation right below cerebellum, which doesn’t seem to compress any structures. What could it be?

There are many structures surrounding the cerebellum and it might be vessels or nerves however I cannot confirm the structure without having a look at the image.

Thanks for writing in to us.

The area in the circle is below the cerebellar tonsil in the foramen magnum. Usually this space is occupied by CSF fluid. It is possible that the structure marked might be a vessel but it is difficult for me to confirm from one image and so I need the complete set of images to come to a conclusion. Can I request you to please share the files in your CD on dropbox or google drive and allow me to check the images.
