Hi There. I Started Having Light Colored Stools Yesterday. Its

Usually due to diet changes. If persists, can be due to a health problem
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using "Ask a doctor" service.
I understand your concern.
Yellow stool is usually a reflection of diet and not specifically attributable to a problem. Eating sweet patatoes, carrots, yellow colored foods, diet rich in fats, ect. This is when your stool has pale/yellow color only for the 1-3 days after eating those foods and then changes back to usual color.
Although it is not initially a cause for concern, it could be caused by underlying health conditions.
I would say that if you have fever, if you pass out, inability to urinate, trouble breathing, mental changes such as confusion, right-sided upper abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, then go to the emergency room or consider seeing a doctor in the coming days.
Otherwise, do not worry and notice your diet changes and if the stool changes are because of diet.
I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards,
Dr. Klarida Papaqako,
General and family physician
