Brief Answer:
Kindly upload more images

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

It could be a sunlight induced eruption. I request you to kindly upload a few more clear images of all the affected areas in good lighting so that I am able to get a better look at the skin rash and help you.

Hope to assist you further once I get the images.

Hi The rash is not clearly visible at the moment but goes up and down. The feet and ankles have a very hotnitching sensation, especially when trying to sleep.

It hasnt responded to hdyrocortosone cream . It feels like it started on top of feet and is now to ankles and front of shins.

Thisnisnthe first time this season that I have been in the sun

Brief Answer:
Topical potent steroid and oral antihistamine

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thank you. I've viewed the images. It could also be eczematous dermatitis. Hydrocortisone is not going to make much of a difference to it since it is a very mild steroid. I suggest you to use a potent topical steroid e.g either mometasone furoate 0.1% cream or clobetasol propionate 0.05% cream, twice daily over the affected skin areas. In addition I suggest you to take an oral antihistamine e.g cetirizine 10mg tablet once a day for symptomatic relief from itching.
Take care
