Question: Hi there for yrs now, I get a bad aching pain in my left testicle, occasionally the the right.I also get a micro amount of blood in my urine test. I have been told it's nothing to worry about. I have been told it's chronic prostatitis. Iam currently on cipro for 4 weeks with no results. Not the first time.If it's not bacterial, what else can I do? My testicles feel normal.

Brief Answer:
Need to consult qualified Urologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .
Based on the facts that you have posted you have pain in left testicles and have been treated with antibiotic (Ciprofloxacin) since last four weeks with no satisfactory results.

I shall be happy if you can post me more details to help me in making precise comments
1) Have you consulted qualified Urologist ?
2) Has he done Digital Rectal Examination (DRE) ?
3) Have you undergone tests like Ultrasound Scanning of Abdomen before confirming the diagnosis of Prostatitis ?
4) Do you have any other symptoms like pain while passing urine ,pain in perineal region ,painful ejaculation etc ?

The diagnosis of Chronic Non-Bacterial prostatitis is always confirmed only when the results of these tests do not reveal any bacterial infection .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Semen examination and Semen Culture
5) Microscopic examination and culture of urethral discharge obtained after doing DRE and prostate massage .

.Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
