Question: Hi this is Namarata from XXXXXXX United Kingdom. I have a query related to coronavirus . My husband yesterday went outside the door to collect a parcel from our friend who was waiting outside our door and he hugged him and csme inside . Post which immediately we both got up into a heated argument as to why he hugged him . In anger he threw his worn clothes at me and I think it touched my face and my dress . I immediately washed my hands and face and changed the clothes but the entire process took some time before I could wash my face . Now I am very much scared . One more thing is we live in apartment and for my husband to reach main door where our friend was waiting he has to go through an passage with another door which is touched and used by many . So my concern is if the door is contaminated and my husband was leaning towards the door to push it then the fabric must have also got contaminated right . I am scared doctor . I am 5.3 and weigh 100 kgs so I fall under the obese category . I have not checked myself for any diabetics and BP . But I am 34 year old . My menstruation is regular.

Brief Answer:
Watch for symptoms like fever, cough, cold for next 5-7 days.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
Theoretically, you are at risk.
But practically, in our routine practice, we don't see any transmission during this short period of meeting.
But better to be careful.
So watch for symptoms like fever, cough, cold etc for next 5 - 7 days in both of you, your husband as well.
If you both don't develop any symptoms in next 5-7 days, no need to worry for Covid infection.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
