To get medical information, one has to interact with medical people and places. Generally, there are clinics and doctors who are not INSIDE the hospital.
Discoloration of the skin, darkening of the urine would often be with hepatitis. There is hepatitis A, B, and C.. the Band C are transmitted by infected needles. Hepatitis A is related to colds and far more contagious than COVID.
AND there is malaria which usually starts with fever and headache and goes up and down for weeks/months. Cannot say in your particular case and all of these respond to treatment and are far far worse without treatment.
In the US, the rate of serious illness from COVID is 1% or less if someone is under age 40 and probably closer to 1 in a thousand if under 25.
