Brief Answer:
may be due to postoperative esophageal dysmotility and acid reflux.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, it may be due to postoperative oesophageal dysmotility and acid reflux.

Please let me know do you have difficulty in swallowing for both solids and liquids, nausea, vomiting?

To confirm diagnosis I would suggest you to do oesophageal manometry and upper GI endoscopy after detailed medical examination and gastroenterologist's opinion.

Till then try to take liquid foods. In case of not getting relief, I would suggest you to undergo Roux en Y gastric bypass surgery.

Kindly continue tab. Pantoprazole 40 mg once a Day and syp mucaine gel 2 teaspoon three times a day.

Let me know I can assist you further...

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale

she has had two esophageal manometry once before her procedure and six weeks after esophageal sphagus(band) she takes 150 mg one at bed time and 40 mg one-to-one twice a day the doctors told us there was no acid come up that maybe the esophagus is traumatized causing the feeling of heartburn she also has Gastroparesis which doesn't help she has difficulty swallowing mainly solids sometimes liquids once in a while she will have nausea she will eat a soda cracker which helps we will check in with her. doctor they tell us it's motility thanks

please see detailed answer.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

I would suggest you to do upper GI endoscopy after gastro-enterologist consultation to know about lower esophageal sphincter status and biopsy if required.

Still in case of not getting relief, I would suggest you to undergo Roux en Y gastric bypass surgery.

Kindly follow all measures as advised in previous answer.

Let me know I can assist you further...

Regards,
Dr. Shyam Kale.
