Question: Hii Doc,
Iam being treated for pleural effusion
+TB. My sputum test shows -ve result. But still doctor told me to continue ATT. After one month now fluid is completely dried up. But still Xrays shows thikned pluera in left lungs for same area. Is it possible this thikned pluera will clear with ATT drug?

No, pleural thickening will remain as it is. Mostly it will not clear.

I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the reports you have attached.
This is common thing to develop pleural thickening after starting anti tubercular drugs.
Pleural thickening is actually a healing process.
With anti tubercular drugs, fluid gets resolved but inflamed pleural layers adher to each other and form Fibrosis which is known as thickening.
It is actually protective thing. This pleural thickening prevents future development of pleural effusion.
This thickening will mostly stay as it is, lifelong and won't get clear by anti tubercular drugs.
And better to finish 6 months of total anti tubercular drugs even if your effusion is dried up.
This longer duration of treatment is for latent TB bacilli and for prevention of relapse of TB infection.

But you can pass fitness by ultrasound or CT scan at that time.
Yes, you can start light exercise.
No diet restrictions.
But better to take healthy food more.
Take high protein diet, milk, pulses etc.
