Hii, I Am 20 Years Old And I Have Dark

Question: Hii, I am 20 years old and I have dark lips, I use to have normal lips in childhood but they have grown darker over time, plz suggest me something
Brief Answer:
Use a topical steroid cream
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and viewed the image.
The lateral portions of the lower lips are more darker than the rest of the lips. I suggest you to use a moderately potent topical steroid cream, twice daily on the affected portions of the lips e.g fluticasone propionate 0.05% cream (flutivate cream), twice daily, for 3-4 weeks and then let me know.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Sir my upper lips have also blackened over time and can you also elaborate a bit on the possible reasons for this as that would be really helpful
Brief Answer:
Regarding lip darkening
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Darkening could be related to smoking in some people who practice it. At other times it can be attributed to Vitamin deficiency or sun exposure. I suggest you to take a multivitamin supplement once a day for a few weeks. Use a lip balm with sunscreen during the day and at night you may use fluticasone propionate 0.05% cream.
Take care
