Evaluation and therapy needed
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for using the Ask a Doctor service.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Your child has a developmental delay which needs to be evaluated and followed up. Based on the findings he would possibly need some simple interventions/therapies that would help him attain the milestones. This support is very important as early detection and early intervention can help in the prevention of disabilities. Cerebral palsy, autism, ADHD etc. are all neurodevelopmental disorders which happen due to some sort of lacunae in the neurodevelopment of a child. However, timely intervention can help in taking control of the situation and in easing the way out.
You need to take the child to a child development center or any center that has the facilities for neurodevelopmental follow up of a child.
Feel free to write back.

Neurodevelopmental issues (& behavioral ones) need evaluation & follow up
Detailed Answer:
I am sorry that you had to wait but you need to understand that neurodevelopmental issues are not diagnosed based on MRI. They are diagnosed by correlating the history with the findings. Therefore the child needs to be assessed. A normal MRI does not exclude anything. An abnormal MRI just indicates the gravity of the situation and helps us set realistic expectations. The diagnosis hardly matters. What matters is what we can do about it so that neurodevelopmental problems do not occur and we can set things on the right path. These therapies can only be formulated after assessing the current developmental status of the child.
I hope that it clarifies.
