Question: Hii i am suffering from irregular period from last two months,i am having dischare of brownish red colour before starting of my period generally before four to five days and similarly after my periods are over,i am also having lower abdomen pain i visited gynaelogist and also done an ultrasound which shows right ovary follicular cyst,doc advised me for ovral l tablets for two month,i am still having pain in my lower abdomen iys dull pain lyk menstural cramps. Is ovarian cyst is causing it is it something serious.i am frightened

Is there anything else in scan report?
Any finding suggestive of pelvic inflammatory desease or endometriosis.
kindly discuss with your Gynaecologist regarding infection and pain.If infection is confirmed , antibiotics will solve your issue.

ovral has to be started from second day of your periods for 21 days.It should be preferably taken on the same time of the day if possible.
Bleeding will get controlled if started from second Day.
Nothing obvious is seen in scan for pain.

Sorry for the delay.we are attending emergencies..
follicular cyst cannot be the cause of brown discharge .Pain can happen when a large cyst undergo torsion.unlikely to be in your case.
You can try taking antispasmodic tablets like meftal spas.If possible try to contact your doctor over phone.
