Question: Hi,my mother is 65 yr and diabetic for 8 yrs.she is having headche especially early morning hours and relieved by painkiller.she is also having frequent headaches.earlier in her young age she was also having migrane.sometimes the pain is so severe she feels like vomiting but never had vomiting.she is having pain 4 to 5 times in a month especially in eyes.forehead,and top of head in both sides.pain is always in morning.is something serious.she is having headache for a yr.sometimes she feels that she is fone and there is no headache for continous 2 month.but from july frequent headachs.

I have noted your mother's symptoms. Based on that, the most likely cause could be migraine. We could start anti-migraine medicines such as Sibelium at night, to prevent future headaches. For pain relief, she can take naproxen tablets.

If headaches persist, Brain scan should be done to exclude other causes of headache.
