History Of Consuming Meth. Started Recurring Sores On Arms, Face And Neck. What Should Be Done?
Question: Need help with reacurring sores from ex meth usage haven't used in over 4 years but have extre break outs on arms face and neck I'm 53 and can't find anyone to help

Not only does meth naturally inhibit the body's ability to fight off minor infection, but it can also cause addicts to nervously pick at their skin until it bleeds.It also results in skin lesions and frequent sores that take a long time to heal.
Since you have not consumed METH for past 4 years,your sores look unlikely to be due to this.
I would want you to explore the possibility of some systemic medical conditions like
Diabetes
Leukemia
Syphilis
Aids
Tuberculosis etc.
These could even be MRSA lesions.
MRSA is a resistant staph bug that causes recurrent lesions and sores. Sometimes abscesses and severe infections.
I would want you to see a doctor and have him culture one to see if it is MRSA and also get relevant general investigations to look for the possible causes as listed above.
If its MRSA, then you will need to undergo a MRSA eradication program as this bug lives on the skin and nose.

Had 5 different blood samples drawn last year. Went to thyroid Dr. And even went to Nerology Dr. And had scan done for any nerve damage. Had 2 biopsys. I have a problem getting to Dr. When breakout first occur cause I am an over the road truck driver. That's where the Meth came in. I got caught up in the trend. Wouldn't that MRSA have shown up somewhere in all those test? But to be honest everyone kinda seamed to overlook what I was saying wanting to look for allergies. Now I did have one Dr. Sayyid white blood cells were over populated coming to the surface and it would last 5 to 7 years but only once. It never showed again.

If there is no evidence of any systemic diseases,as I discussed earlier,then it would be best to go to a dermatologist at the time of attack of sores and get it biopsied and get the culture of any fluid present in those sores.
This way,probably diagnosis can be made.
