History Of Neck Issues. MRI And Blood Work Done. Feeling Weakness In Hand. Any Thoughts?
symptoms...sudden onset of right hand continual pins & needles..burning pain in pinky & 4th finger and inside palm closet to those fingers....weakness in left hand... intermittent pins 7 needles in left foot and lower left leg.
had nerve study done on left arm,leg and back..diagnosis: pronator teres syndrome..refered to surgeon...he was concerned that it was a neck issue...referred to original neck surgeon..had MRI...he prescribed physical therapy...only attended 3 sessions...felt my condition was misdiagnosed.
went to family doctor..he wanted to do complete blood work up..didn;t have it done due to mis-communication. went back for follow-up appt (was supposed to have had blood work done) symptomd disappeared for about 7 days...i was pretty sure i had bronchitis so i kept appointment..told him symptoms had gone....he dealt with my bronchitis....meanwhile, about 5 days later all symptoms returned..
that was about 2 months ago...left foot numbness has been more persistent. oddly enough mostly when sitting and laying down.
Any thoughts? suggestions?

Hello!
Can you be little more elaborate.
You had pins and needle sensations and burning in 4th and 5th digit of right hand with similar problem over left foot.
Is there some weakness ie weak hand grip, difficulty walking etc.
Was it simultaneous to begin with or one preceded the other.
Can you give a detailed MR report. How was Craniovertebral junction?
Is there some signal in cord or compression over spinal cord.
Can you give details of Nerve study. Nerve study of left leg what it showed?
You can undergo SSEP both legs.
Many time along with fusion vertebra or high cervical skeletal abnormalities there are some changes in nerve tracts which can give rise to these sort of symptoms which are distressing and in many of these case routine evaluation may be non specific.
hope i have given you some insight to your problem. I shall answer your further queries after the above details
Best Wishes,
