How Are Large Red Sore Welts On The Arms, Legs And Hands Which Are Worsening Treated?

default
Posted on Mon, 16 Oct 2023
Question: I have welts that look like large mosquito bites first on my arms, then legs and hands. Now they are developing on my back and on the back of my arms- no rhyme or reason I must have a dozen welts on the back of each am now. I am not going outside at all, so they are not mosquito bits and the welts are itchy, sore and red. I have had the symptoms for 5 days now and they are getting progressively worse.

Brief Answer:
Urticaria, tablet Cetrizine 10 mg twice daily

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

According to your complaints it seems to be urticaria.
It is an allergic reaction which has multiple causes.
It could be due to food, drugs, any infection in the body, thyroid disorders and sometimes it occurs without any cause.
I would recommend you to take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine 10 mg twice daily for 10-14 days.
This should subside it.
