How Can I Lower My GGT And Cholesterol Levels?

Question: How i can lower my GGT and Cholesterol
Brief Answer:
low fat diet
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Rise in ggt is most often due to alcohol, if you are not consuming alcohol then I suggest you to get an ultrasound scan done to rule out obstruction to the gall bladder with gall bladder stones.
Cholestrol is directly related to the things you eat and also alcohol. I suggest you to do the following
1. Reduce fried food and food rich in fat such as ice creams, doughnuts. sweets, etc
2. Exercise daily for atleast 30 min, especially abdominal exercises
3. Tab atorvastatin 10 mg at night is a wonderful drug to reduce cholesterol
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

I used to take alcohol but left before 6 months. Also I am a heavy smoker.
Will it be affecting both things.
Will it be affecting both things.
Brief Answer:
Stop smoking
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for attaching the reports. Here are my interpretations
Most of your reports are well within normal limits. The rise in Triglycerides and cholestrol could be because of smoking. I strongly recommend you to stop smoking. I also suggest you to exercise daily as your HDL is on the lower side.
I also suggest you to get a USG abdomen done to rule out fatty liver. Fat deposition around the liver can lead to rise in GGT. I am happy that you have stopped drinking alcohol.
I am sure you will have doubts, please get back to me with any doubts that you might be having
