How Can I Manage Frequent Urination At Night?
Question: I wake up every night 2-4 times. Intermittently- I will awake 7 times in one 8 hour night. It seems like my system won’t stop producing urine. I did have a sleep study with recommendations to reduce stress, etc. I am unable to link a pattern tied to coffee, stress, etc ?
I am taking 5 mg alodipine besylate , and 40 mg valsartan for high blood pressure that isn’t going down. Usually I feel sore/tender at night after uriniating on my right side under my ribs ? I have shard these problems with my doctor for past 2-3yrs and would like a second opinion . I will most likely wake up with headaches -sometimes migraines if I have ice cream, or more than 1 large bowl of cereal at night. I can at times-sense the start of a headache if I have ice - 3-4 heresy kisses, or even a very small amount of alcohol such as 2 shot size sips of wine. I appreciate any advise or direction with this. I am self employed and have severe problems being effective at work with the lack of sleep.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The symptoms you described the need, of course, a detailed clinical examination and some biochemical exams.
You need to check;
-Blood glucose and HbA1c
-Lipid profile
-Full blood count
-Liver function tests
-Bun, Creatinine
-TSH
-Urine examination.
An abdominal ultrasound would give some more information regarding the pain that you reported.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care.
