Question: Hello, I take 80 mg of Latuda once a day, 10 mg of buspar three times a day, 20 mg of propranolol three times a day, and 0.5 mg of klonopin twice a day. I want to taper off of all my medications. So I will take 10 mg of buspar twice a day for one week, once a day for the next week and then stop. I will take 20 mg of propranolol twice a day for one week then once a day for one week then stop. I will take 40 mg of Latuda for one week then stop. Is this the proper way to taper off of these three? And how do I stop the klonopin?

Brief Answer:
Doses should be reduced gradually

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I can understand your concern. You can reduce the Buspirone by reducing the doses gradually. Even the dose reduction you suggested is fine.

Propranolol doesn't cause much withdrawal symptoms so there is no need to make any significant dose changes in Propranolol.

You are also in 40 mg Latuda. You can reduce the dose to half tablet for two weeks and then the drug can be stopped. Dose reduction in this manner will not cause any problems.

Dose of Clonazepam should be reduced very gradually over 4 weeks. The dose should be reduced by 0.25 mg per week. This will prevent any serious withdrawal symptoms.

Thanks and take care
