Brief Answer:
Yes you can but depersonalization is rare
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
After a long time use tolerance is very common to the effects of klonopin and 2 years of use is more than enough to develop tolerance. I understand that you just took 1 mg per day but the tolerance can still take place to its effects.
However I like to inform you that depersonalization due to tolerance is very rare or uncommon. This is only possible if you had these episodes of depersonalization before start of klonopin.
I hope this answers you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
Most common cause is overt or covert stress ?conflict
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
Although the etiology of depersonalization is multi pronged no single factor can be ct attributed for depersonalization but it has been speculated that inner conflict is most often implicated in its causation.
It has been speculated that the conflict can arise for adverse childhood experiences, failure to achieve something, parental abuse, sexual abuse, physical trauma and lot more. Few of the patients develop depersonalization from the substance abuse such as cannabis, meth among others.
So it can be said that it is not easy for me to determine the cause but psycholoanalysis can help you in this regard.
I hope this answers you further.
Thanks and regards.

but u dont think it has anything to do with the klonopin? i have severe chronic anxiety..
Brief Answer:
Not directly but indirectly
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
Although as stated above klonopin do not cause depersonalization by any form directly but indirectly it is possible to have depersonalization by severe chronic anxiety.
Do to development of tolerance the anxiety may be controlled inadequately leading to development of depersonalization. This happens because chronic anxiety is another factor for development of depersonalization.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
Generally no
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.
During de-realization episodes the person knows that something appears unreal in the outside world and eyes will not be affected due to de-realization.
As a standard protocol if medically nothing is abnormal we need to look for psychological causes and I think seeing a psychiatrist in person may help.
Here we are limited with question answer format which can not substitute the real doctor encounter.
If you are unable to see a psychiatrist urgently you can think of contacting me for online video consultation at icliniq.com/ashok although I still recommend Face to face encounter with psychiatrist.
Thanks again.
