Question: I went for protected sexual intercourse with my Girlfriend on 29 and 30 of April ..After 7 days on 7 May I went for STD PCR screening and it came back negative , i repeated it again on 20 May and it came negative. On 24 May I went for body to body massage with therapist I did not go for any penetrative sex but I ejaculated twice .On 7 June I repeated PCR and it came positive for ureaplasma parvum. Now I am confused did I got parvum from my GF or from the therapist. And if does that mean that my GF is cheating?
I already diagnosed by urologist on 16 of March by having chronic pelvic pain so I have urinary symptoms before having sex with my GF and receiving treatment for prostate congestion and overactive bladder

Brief Answer:
Rare mistakes can occur with interpretations

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Ureaplasma Parvam is quite unlikely without penetrative sex. Did you have oral sex during body to body massage as you had mentioned already that you didn't have penetrative vaginal sex?
Any test reports can't be reliable 100% and also interpretation of the technician can have borderline variations. So there is a possibility of something missed one time, picked up by another time.

Your previous history of pelvic pain, urinary symptoms and prostatic congestion were also could be due to a past ureaplasma infection. Ureaplasma infection is not a serious one. Get treated for the same along with your girl friend and get well soon.
Medicine is not mathematics to get a constant result.

Thanks for your Reply .No Doctor I did not go for oral Sex during that massage session at all that was on 24 May . Apology I diasagree with that my urinary symptoms was due to ureaplasma infection as I did urine PCR on April and it was negative and i was having those symptoms since March 16 after body to body massage with no penetrative or oral sex plus I did not go for any penetrative or oral sex before the incident with my girlfriend on 29 and 30 April which was with protection !!.May I know what is the incubation period for urea? And if I went for sex with my girlfriend on 30 April and I went for 2 PCRs on 7 and 20 May and came negative ,then when repeated on 7 XXXXXXX was positive so with that story what could be my source of infection .Was it the massage or my girlfriend ?
One more point on 24 May ( i could be paranoid , the therapist spit from distance of 30 cm on my penis but nothing come from her mouth in that spit)

Brief Answer:
Marital status please?

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Incubation period is 10-20 days (around 2 weeks). If we rely your test reports, the ureaplasma infection would not have acquired from your girl friend as you had tested 20 days after the contact with your girl friend which were negative.

As per your history, it could have acquired during body to body massage! But which has no penetrative sex. Acquiring STI through spitting would be a remote possibility.

You had not mentioned anything about your marital status? Have you any marital sexual contact in between?

Thanks For Clarification.I attached my 3 reports of STD urine PCR .I think the lab is Good and trusted as I am quite paraniod I keep going for STD screening since 2016 with them .My girlfriend I did not meet her before May 2023 for the last 3 years ( on november 2019 because of covid ) on november 2919 I went for unprotected intercourse with her and my results were normal. To confirm I did not went for penetrative or oral sex with the therapist but body to body and touching her vagina infrequently by my fingers and she was trying to touch my around anal with no finger insertion and I ejaculated twice outside her .I am not married doctor .I went for real penetrative sex with my girlfriend only twice in 2019 and 2023 , other than that a habit of body to body massage while being careful .Hope this answer all questions Is ureaplasma parvum sing of cheating?

Brief Answer:
Send your Urine test report

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Discharge producing STIs like Ureaplasma is unlikely to be transmitted through anal or vaginal touching with fingers. Do you have any symptoms like mild urethral discharge or burning sensation while pissing? Test your urine deposits for pus cells. If the pus cells are more than 5 in number you may need treatment, otherwise you can ignore this report, It is not a major STI. Sometimes certain organisms can exist as a commensal organisms in genital tract (nonpathogenic) related to Ureaplasma Parvum which gives a false positive result.

Not to worry. If your urine is clear and have no symptom, not to bother about the same.

I attached my urine analysis report and it was normal .Since my sexual intercourse with my Girlfriend i did may be 5 or 6 urine analysis and never came back with any pus .I do not have urethral discharge at all but burning sensation and urgency I had since 16 of March ( before my sexual intercourse) and I always have it after doing body to body massage with therapists .I went to urologist and was diagnosed of having non bacterial pelvic congestion because of superexcitement and lack of sex in my life .As net results tens of urine analysis for me never came back positive .taking or not taking the treatment is not my big deal.Main issue for me from where I get it from My Girlfriend who I tested negative for PCR 20 days after our sex or after body to body massage on 24 of May with therapist?.And is urea parvum sign of infidelity of my girlfriend? .As regards my body to body massage I ejaculated twice but of course no penetration or oral sex but body to body

Just to add Finally ( trying to squeeze my Mind )
While having the protected intercourse with my Girlfriend on 29 April she was on top of me and after I ejaculated inside condom she moved herself out of me and at the point when she was out condom was resting on my groin with all my cum on my tummy and when I asked her she mentioned that condom was only slipped after she moved out from me .So I do not think it was unprotected sex!!.was it risky ? Do not think so !!

Brief Answer:
You are not having any evidence for urethritis.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

As your urine report was normal, you are not having any urethritis. Ureaplasma Parvum can cause non gonococcal urethritis. Here in your case, you are not having any signs, symptoms or evidence for urethritis. So ignore the same. Urea plasma is not a serious organism to be worried. Drink water not less than 3 liters of water per day.

Don't analysis where from this organism came from. I cannot answer this question unless I would have stayed with you during these time. Man made errors in handling the specimens in the laboratory and the differences in interpretation of these results are not uncommon in medical practice. This should not be a cause for mental torture and break up of relationship.
