How Can A Bump On The Face Be Treated?

default
Posted on Mon, 8 May 2017
Question: My 31 year old son has a bump on his face, near his cheek, about the size of a nickel and is gradually growing larger. It feels like it is under his skin but can be seen on the outside, it is not painful, it is dark around the edges of the bump. The bump has reoccurred once. What could it be and how can it be treated : to rid permanently.

Brief Answer:
Sebaceous cyst, requires minor surgery for cure.

Detailed Answer:
Respected XXXX, Hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.

*Clinically this is Sebaceous cyst most likely , where said lesion gives
appearance.
*No medicines / cream / warmth application treats it permanently though gives
some soothing effect at times.
*Permanent rid is Excision by Surgery under Local Anaesthesia taking around
20 minutes for an Expert Consultant Surgeon , it`s an OPD base procedure &
he doesn't require to be hospitalized for the same.
*Would love at least to have clinical photograph of the lesion for any further
comments on it.
*Overall it`s not of much danger or stress but still requires definite care.
Hope this clears your query.
