Baby's USG after birth.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
First of all, do not panic.
Let me assure that baby's growth is quite satisfactory. The concern is about the cyst in the baby's abdomen.
At present, we need not do any specific intervention to tackle the cyst, as the origin of the cyst is not certain.
Please get her routine to follow up ANC visits done.
Please seek support from treating gynecologist to make necessary arrangements beforehand by discussing the cyst issue with the pediatrician who will be attending baby's delivery and with a pediatric surgeon if needed.
I am sure your wife's Thyroid status is normal and her TSH levels are within normal limits.
If not done in third trimester, please get them done.
In my opinion. please get baby's USG done, after birth, It will clarify some more things about the cyst.
Please convey to your wife not to woory about the cyst,
Focus on the growing pregnancy, Meditate regularly. Think poditive. Things will be fine in the due course of time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

TSH helpful. Baby's USG after birth.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
In my opinion there is no harm in getting Thyroid function tests done. Many a times undiagnosed hypothyroidism can get detected. In such situations, Fetal abdominal cysts can occur.
Secondly, after the baby's birth, the baby's abdominal USG will be helpful in defining the origin of the cyst.
Once outside the mother's womb, let's give some time for the baby to settle down in the new environment.
Then baby's USG can be done. According to the clinical situation and original a of the cyst, treating pediatrician and treating pediatric surgeon will be in a better position to determine the treatment approach.
Presently, focus on the baby's growth. Be regularly in touch with your treating Gynecologist. Be regular on Iron , Calcium, protein supplements. Things will be fine in the due course of time.
Hope I have answered your query.
