Detailed Answer:
Hi,
These are all normal- (1) pH (normal 7.2 to 7.8),
(2)volume ( normal1.5ml to 5ml),
(3) liquifaction,
(4) sperm concentration/count/density (normal is greater than 20 million), (5)motility/movement of the sperm ( normal is more than 60% moving normally)
(6)viscosity (thickness)
(7)IgA and IgG antibodies, though present are low
The vitality was stated n/a- not applicable, this may mean that it was not assessed
In terms of morphology or shape of the sperm, there are some abnormalities, but this does not mean conception cannot occur.
There are defects/abnormalities in 92% of the sperm at the head and in the mid piece/middle of the sperm- defects in 25%
Only 8% of the are normal, this is usually supposed to be greater than 60%. As stated, it does not mean conception cannot occur especially since the other areas are okay.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
1) IgA and IgG antibodies are at present low could this cause issues with conception?
2) Morphology /shape abnormal head defects in 92% and mid piece 25% within notes the lab tech has state that the morphology is satisfactory will this cause issues with conception?
They have advised my normal forms 8% and reference values >4%
3) Can I do anything to improve the above?
My wife and I already have a daughter together however she is now 10 and we have been trying to conceive for 4 years, we are starting to look for more answers by going for a fertility MOT. However I wanted to see how my results affected our chances to conceive and what treatment options maybe available to us.
because the other aspects are good, may be still possible
Detailed Answer:
HI
The low values of the antibiodies should not have a significant effect
In terms of the morphology which affects the ability to penetrate the egg- the level of abnormalities is high. The 4% represents the very lower limit of normal, ideally it should be greater than 60% but many persons have values lower than this and still able to conceive.
Because the other aspects of your semen analysis are good, it may be possible to still conceive naturally.
If natural conception is not possible then artificial means of conception can be considered
