Question: I have a small sore on the external skin of the penis, it oozes a bit of white puss, drys up and closes but has come back over a period of 7 days or so. I've had it once in a while over many years it always goes away for a long period of time. it burns/itchs some and usually disappears after 3 days or so and does not come back for a year or two. This time it seems to be lingering and washing/cleaning with soap-the usual "cure"- does not seem to be working to eliminate it.

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have sore over foreskin which you get it off and on.

1)Did this sore occurred after unprotected sex ?
2) Are you diabetic ?
3) Are you able to retract your foreskin completely over glans penis ?

Get your sugar levels tests done to rule out diabetes .

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

In reply-wife died 6 years ago, no sex at all in last 6 years, not diabetic, circumcised and no issue moving foreskin.
