How Can Abdominal Circumference Be Increased At 24 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

Question: Hello Dr,

My wife is pregnent from 24 week. Her scan report say"High Resistance Flow".
In her all previous scan AC(Abdominal Circumference) is showing more fluctuation compare to standard on that week of pregnency like: In 16 week-> 96, 19th week->136, 24 week->170
More details: currently fetal waight:550gram and FHR:144,
She is gaining 2KG each month in last 2 month.Total 5kg waith she put from pregency(25week is running)

Please suggest any suplement to increase this AC value with over all better Blood flow(minimise restriction of flow).

High resistance flow or notching, are predictive of pre-eclampsia and intrauterine growth retardation of the baby. The weight gain of your wife is also on a higher side. it is best to restrict her salt intake to decrease the chances of high blood pressure- pre eclampsia in addition to the medicines she is already taking. Regular blood pressure monitoring and check up are also needed. Ecosprin can help in increasing the blood flow to the baby and thus will help in decreasing the AC discrepancy.

Dear Dr,

Thanks for reply.
She is currently taking: Echosprin 150, Shelcall HD, Thyronorm 125, Oxfer XT, Evion fort.(daily 1-1 tablet)
Her THS(2.3) and Sugar(fasting:88, after food:110, Mean blood glucose:76 and HbA1C:4.3(fasting)) in normal from last 6 months

Please help me with below doubt, we are very much worrying:
1-Please suggest any specific medicine to avoid blood flow restriction to baby. Will it be reduced restriction with any food to have or not have, plz suggest?
2- Do I need to increase Protein or Vitamin D intake?
3-Will baby will survive full term? what is the chances, will this stage correction can be possible?
4- We have done all possible test, nothing wrong found yet. Only, not tested Chromosome blood test. Is there any possibility for any abnormality in baby like chromosome issue?

Some more details: Noe of scan report says any abnormality as of now.24 week scan report: BPD:58, HC:215, AC:172, FL:43, Amniotic fluid index:11.5, Fetal movement:2/2,Fetal tone:2/2, liquor volume:2/2, Umbilical artery:1.52, MCA PI:1.99, Right Uterine artery PI:1.0, Lef UA PI:1.0, Biophysical profile:8/8, PHR:153, Waight:568 gram.

Thanks for writing again.
1. To increase the blood flow Ecosprin is used- she is already taking it. She can avoid chinese and fast food.
2. increased protein intake will help. increased Vitamin D is not needed if the blood levels of vitamin D are normal.
3. The baby will survive full term but can be a low birth weight baby. Ecosprin can decrease the chances of low birth weight.
4. Any chromosomal abnormality is not related to this decreased blood flow.
