How Can Accidental Ingestion Of Hydrochlorothiazide By A Child Be Treated?

Question: it's possible a six year old accidentally ingested 12.5 hydrochlorothiazide. it would have been last night I saw a chewed pill on the floor not broken open but I'm afraid there might have been another one. he is lethargic today
Brief Answer:
Give juicy fruits as well as ORS
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Hydrochlorthiazide can cause electrolyte imbalance although I would not expect lethagy. The frequency of urinary output is important. If it is lesser than usual, it would call for medical attention. If not, I would insist you to give juicy fruits like citrus fruits as well as ORS (oral rehydration solution). Hopefully things would be back to normal soon.
Let me know if I could help further.
