How Can Anxiety And Muscle Weakness Be Resolved After Treating Thyroiditis?

Question: I was recently hyperthyroid caused by thyroiditis and was mis diagnosed and given synthroid on too of that. Blood levels back to normal 5 months ago but I still have anxiety and some muscle weakness. How long does that take to resolve??
Brief Answer:
About your concern
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Usually the symptoms caused by over or under active surgery are corrected within 4-6 weeks after starting treatment. To judge the efficiency of the dose, you need to check the thyroid hormones: TSH, FT4 and FT3. If they are within the normal ranges, another cause of your symptoms should be found. Otherwise, the dose should be adjusted until the hormones are back to normal.
Please attach the results and the actual treatment and dose.
Will be a pleasure to help you further.

My question is how long does it takes anxiety and muscle weakness to resolve from being hyper once blood is normal?? I have read it can take months
Brief Answer:
About hyperthyroidism symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Well, I would say it depends on the severity of hyperthyroidism. If it has been severe, it takes 2 or three months for the symptoms to resolve. If hyperthyroidism has been mild, the symptoms (especially muscle weakness) are resolved faster but in any case there is a huge improvement of the symptoms once the hormones are back to normal.
Hope I have answered your query.
