How Can Back And Abdominal Pain Be Treated?
Question: I have pain that begins in my lower back and to the front bottom of my abdomin. I had my kidneys removed when I was 25, was cut halfway around my left side
Brief Answer:
Possible pancreatitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
This type of pain is indicative of pancreatitis which usually is manifested with back and abdominal pain, may be associated with fever, nausea, and vomiting.
If only the pain is present then you can wait, take antiacid medications, spasmodics and have a liquid diet for few days. If there are any of these above-mentioned symptoms, fever or progressive pain then you should see a doctor and do lab tests to rule out intraabdominal inflammation.
Wish you good health.
Feel free to ask further.
Regards
