Question: blood coming from my anus. I have an external hemeroid. painful when I have a bowel movement. I think I may have a anal fissure. I am on blood thinners and recently had a laprocropic hysterectomy. what should I do to stop the bleeding

Hi,

Generally hard stools cause pain to the existing hemorrhoids. So you can use Lax-A-Day at night should help to soften the stools.
You can use Hemovel pill, which is an OTC, three times a day for four days. It helps to control the pain and bleeding.

From Day 5 to Day 7, twice a day morning and night.
Above all this, sitz bathtub with warm water and antiseptic lotion helps to ease the pain better.

You can fill the tub with warm water and put half ounce antiseptic lotion and sit in the tub for 10 minutes. You can do it multiple times a day.
