How Can Bumps On The Cheeks After Shaving Be Treated?
Question: I get some bumps on my cheeks after shaving. Most of the time, I prefer a trimmer but things go out of hands when I use a razor on my face. The bumps subside after a few days but the repetitive shaving has blackened some area of one of the cheeks. Please tell me this can be helped.
Brief Answer:
Use a Kojic acid-based cream.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You seem to have developed post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) at sites of previously resolved razor bumps. I suggest you apply a topical 2% Kojic acid-based cream e.g. either Kojic cream Or Golite cream on areas of PIH. Kojic acid is a skin lightening agent. Both of these are prescription medications and I advise you to talk to your local practitioner for a prescription of the same.
Hope I have answered your query.
