How Can Cold, Thick Yellow Sputum And Severe Cough Be Treated?

Question: I am having cold since last Wednesday and getting thick yellow sputum now
Now getting lots of coughing as well.
I took zocef cv 250 one tablet daily for 3 days earlier.
Please suggest appropriate medication.

Hi,

The antibiotic dosage is not sufficient. You will have to take it twice daily for 5 days course.

I suggest you take Tab. Azithromycin 500 mg once daily after dinner for 3 days. Drink warm lemon juice with a tsp of honey every day for a week. Steam inhalation twice daily for 20 mins helps clear the mucus. You can take Tab. Dolo 650 mg as and when required for pain or fever.
