Brief Answer:
Need further evaluation

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Well, given your history, some amount of blood can be seen transiently during or afterward the respiratory tract infection. Although the color is more suggestive of ingested blood (could be due to a trickle in form of post nasal drip or some other parts of the upper respiratory tract).

At this outset, drink plenty of water to remain well hydrated throughout the day. Take steam inhalation three times daily, avoid forcefully coughing/spitting. Stop smoking completely, if at all do.

If the blood in sputum was just a momentary finding, then no need to worry. However, if it's persisting despite the complete treatment course, then you need to get yourself thoroughly evaluated (under an ENT specialist or Chest physician whoever is available in your locality), along with a few necessary investigations (CBC, LFT, KFT, Chest X-ray, Sputum for Gm-stain, AFB and culture sensitivity). Not to worry, management can be done based on the findings.

Let me know if I can assist you further. Take Care.
