Brief Answer:
Could be wheezing

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

11 month old with heavy breathing usually is because of viral infection of air passages called as bronchiolitis. Here the cough may be less, but don’t ignore heavy breathing. I would suggest you to take him to nearby clinic or hospital and get him examined. He may benefit from nebulization after checking his throat and chest. Sometimes this takes even a week for this condition to improve. Better not to delay.

Wishing your child speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Arun
