How Can Crust In Nose Be Removed?
Question: Can my nose doctor remove crust in my nose with local anesthetic? Will my nose have to be packed? What is a splint or spacer in nose?
Brief Answer:
It can be done under local anesthetic!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this crust that you have in your nose. Yes, it can be conveniently removed with local anesthetic. All that is required is to numb the nose and get it removed. Packing would only be considered if you are bleeding after the procedure. If there is no active bleeding. packing would not be done.
A retainer is inserted in the nose to keep it open. This way, you can breath freely and it prevents both side of nose from coming in contact. This helps with healing.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
