How Can Delayed Menstruation Despite Taking Duphaston Be Treated?
Question: Hi, i am 18 years old and didn't have my period since 18 months. My Gynecologist diagnosed me with PCOS and put me on Duphaston (2 tablets/day for 10 days). But now it's been 15 days since I stopped Duphsaton and still did not have my period. I'm sure that I am not pregnant. Would you please tell me why and what should I do ?
Brief Answer:
Uterine lining likely to be less
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Sometimes, duphastone do not induces periods of the uterine lining is not well developed due to the hormonal disturbance.
If the uterine lining is less, then you will be needing both estrogen and progesterone tablets to Induce the periods..I will suggest you to get an ultrasound done to confirm the uterine lining and get further treatment accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
