Brief Answer:
Local and oral antibiotic needs to be given
Detailed Answer:
Hello
The area you have mentioned is prone for infection and is very painful.
Here I would like to give him oral antibiotic like Amoxycillin and clavuunate combination to prevent further worsening of infection. Application of antibiotic cream will also help in healing of lesion.
As it is a closed lesion local antibiotic only will not be sufficient.
Continue giving paracetamol(calpol) to relieve the pain.Doing hot foment action will also help.
The dose of amoxicillin and clavuunate (syrup containing 228.5 mg/ 5 ml)for this age is 5 ml two times a day for 5-7 days.
I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
