How Can Groin Pain After Excision Of Sacral Promontory Mesh Be Treated?
Question: I had mesh removed from the sacral promontory area; nerves started firing, terrible pain moved to leg; the only pain I had was groin, hip, from tVTO. He chose to remove, although a urologist, mesh from the sacral area and I have had unbelievable pain. The hematoma probe caused more pain - drained by putting tube in left buttox. The pain of that was horrendous as the problem must have hit a series of nerves. Now, pain that was in one area, is spreading. Do you have information on this
Brief Answer:
Hello dear. It is a neuroopathic pain
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So you are suffering from neuropathic pain which is the cause of spreading and radiating pain.
There are several agents which can be helpful in neuropathic pain like, pregabalin, gabapentin, amitryptaline, and anticonvulsant agents which can reduce the pain.
Moreover, if the pain is very severe, you can go for a nerve block which can permanently abolish the pain.
Please discuss these with your primary physician and revert back.
Thanks and regards
