How Can Intense Pain In The Left Armpit Be Treated?

Question: I have intense pain on my left side under my armpit about 3 inches below it. I'm a 54 year old male. It began 2 weeks ago with an intermittent sharp pain that has now become a constant pain.

I can understand your concern

Its been two weeks and the pain is constant now.

I think its the time to be examined for it.Better to do dthe following tests :

ECG and echocardiography, cardiac enzymes
Chest x Ray
Abdominal ultrasound

Then according to the results it will decide for the proper treatment or follow up.

Sometimes gastric problems might be the cause of such pain.However do the above and you can also attach me the results and we will discuss again about it.

It is better to exclude several lung and heart problems.
