Brief Answer:
Further information.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

1. Check with a child specialist since apart from feeding problems, other associated conditions like milk protein allergy, malnutrition, dehydration and infection have to be excluded.

2. Make sure to add lactation promoting herbs like fenugreek seeds, spinach, garlic, take proper rest and avoid undue mental stress, spices, pineapple, grief, cabbage, cauliflower, onion.

PS. Check whether a breast pump or breast compression is effective or not.

3. Use Shataverex granules by Sandu Pharmacy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Further necessary information.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

1. Make sure the baby wipes which you are using does not have alcohol or propylene glycol which can further irritate and aggravate the rashes and avoid using talcum powder or cornstarch powder.

PS. instead of rubbing XXXXXXX dry the area and make sure before changing the diaper that it is not mixed with stool since the resultant production of ammonia can be very harsh to baby’s skin.

2. Erythema toxicum: a common condition as suggested by another Physician could be the reason.

3. To promote/offer proper healing make sure to have maximum diaper free periods, since the airing of the area will help in the faster healing of the rash.

4. Slightly massage the area with a cream consisting of:
. karanj [pongamia piñata]
. XXXXXXX [ rubia cordifolia]
. devdaru oil [cedrus deodora]
. daru haldi [berberis aristata]
. jasad bhasma [zinc oxide]
. ghrit kumara [aloe vera] and tea tree oil

PS. If interested I can courier you the medicine.

PS. make sure to exclude common aggravating conditions like an allergy to diaper, any skin condition [eczema/atopic dermatitis], irritation with baby wipes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

thank you doctor, I am washing the baby's buttock with water now and patting with dry cloth and leave her to get some air then apply Himalaya baby rash cream and make her wear diaper. the rashes on the bum has reduced as the red skin is not much seen but, the anus has red rashes like very tiny spots. I hope it will also go wanted to confirm with you if this normal or need some medication?

Brief Answer:
Maintain personnel hygiene.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

1. The rashes near anus are probably napkin rash or what we call as 'Ahi putana' in Ayurveda which could well be normal [unless proved otherwise], so make sure to maintain her personal hygiene.

PS. If in spite of using diaper rash cream/maintaining good hygiene, the rashes persist and/or spreads to different areas, visit a pediatrician for a clinical examination.

Hope I have answered your query.
