How Can Mucus Lodged In The Eustachian Tube Be Treated?

Question: I have a high-pitched sound coming out of my ear when I open my mouth to the extreme and I particularly notice it while chewing, yawning and brushing my teeth. I also have some fullness when my jaw is still and when I move my head sideways in one direction. These symptoms have now been troubling me for about 11 months. I have previously seen an ENT doctor who thought there was mucus lodged in the eustachian tube but surely it should have cleared by now. I had an audiogram test which came back as normal. What could be causing it and how can it be treated please?

Detailed Answer:
Hii. Welcome to the healthcare services. It seems that you may be having patulous eustachian tube or eustachian tube dysfunction or temporomandibular joint dysfunction. Take solspre nasal spray 1 puff thrice daily for 2 month to make eustachian tube function normally. Take fluticasone nasal spray 2 puff at bedtime for 2 month to decrease the allergic inflammation. Take steam inhalation. For temporomandibular dysfunction you don't have to do anything. Take hot fomentation over the TM joint. Do regular jaw exercise. Don't pay attention over the sound. Please review if you have any queries.
