Hi,

I am so sorry to hear about this flare up around the incision site. MRSA can only be identified through laboratory testing through cultures. There is no way to tell by simply looking what the difference is. Also, if treatment with regular antibiotics fails, then we can start thinking it could be the resistant strain and investigate in that direction.
