How Can One Treat An Allergic Red Patch On The Skin Of A Toddler?
Question: Hi Doctor -
My daughter is 20months old. She is having some allergy of red patch/boil. Kind of mosquito bites but actually these didnt happen from mosquito.
Can you please suggest some solution to this for toddlers.
Is it due to any food allergy. Attached few photos also.
Kindly help.

Brief Answer:
Allergic rash
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It seems that your child has developed allergic rashes. It is difficult to comment whether they are due to allergy from food or from some other environmental trigger. You may give some antiallergic like Cetirizine Drops (or possibly better ones like Atarax (hydroxizine) which is a prescription medicine) orally for the next few days. You also need to apply some emollient like calamine lotion or some moisturizer like aloe vera lotion over those areas.
It might take a few days to recover and so you need to be patient. It is not a cause for concern.
Let me know if I could help further.
Regards
