How Can Pain On My Left Leg On The Outer Thigh, Back Pain And Pain At The Ovaries Be Managed?

Question: Hi I have been having a pain on my left leg on the outside of my thigh for about a week now. The pain is not ongoing but sometimes it will go numb and then the bottom of my leg goes numb. My back has been hurting and near where my ovaries is. The back pain and ovarie pain has been happening for a while. The leg pain just started though not too long ago.
Brief Answer:
Could be sciatica
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This kind of pain, which you are having, in my opinion is due to slipped disc. It is called sciatica. Sometimes a disc in vertebral canal comes out of it's place and presses on one of the nerves causing this sciatica.
For diagnosis- best is to get MRI of lower lumbar spine.
In the meantime start pain killers , muscle relaxants, and physiotherapy (Interferential therapy, Isometric Spinal extension exercises). Please avoid weight lifting, prolonged sitting and forward bending. Let us discuss further with MRI.
Thanks for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
Regards

ok thank you Dr. Goel. I did think I hurt my back months ago. Do you know why I would be having pain near my ovaries with these though? with my back pain? they seem to tie together. The pain comes and goes in my back and then my cramps will also come. I did start to excercise quite a bit about a month ago. and i didnt have the back pain. It has been going on for a few months now. And there have been times when I get my period. Usually the first or second day when the pain is extreme. where i can barely stand up. My gynocologist did an exam and when the lady turned the camera I felt pain on one of my ovaries. I came in because I have cramps when its not my period and it was difficult for me to stand during my pregnancy. Pressure on the lower part of my area there and I sometimes get that pressure again during my menstral cycle. So I%E2%80%99m just wondering why the two go together (the back pain) and ovarie area pain. The leg pain started about over a week ago. I was in the shower and had a sharp pain in my ovarie area. then I got in the bed and my leg was hurting there on the left side. and it has been coming and going since. tonight I had bad back pain, ovary area, and leg. so im not sure why they all three tie together. Would you know why?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Back pain and ovary pain could be co related since any increase in intraabdominal / Intra pelvic pressure can lead to back pain. Leg pain is related to back pain but there is no direct correlation to ovary pain.
Rest we will know better after MRI only.
Thanks
