How Can Rashes On The Body Which Look Like Urticaria Be Managed And Treated?

Question: I have body rashes that the Dermatologist had treated as a possible drug allergy. He prescribed doxycycline and levicyn spray to control the itches. Problem Is that this is going into the 5th day of antibiotics and the rashes are not going away and the spray is definitely not control the itches. Any recommendation for OTC oral med for the itches? And should I consult with a different dermatologist for a second opinion as the referred Derm is on vacation for two weeks? Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated as I am freakin out on what could be the real cause for the rashes! Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Possible urticaria
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
This rash looks like urticaria. A possible source of allergy.
I don't think doxycycline is the right medication that is needed here.
I generally prescribe oral medications of Monteleukast and Levocetirizine to my patients with such symptoms for 1 to 2 weeks.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications to improve your symptoms.
Post your further questions if any.
Thank you
