Brief Answer:
Seborrheic dermatitis.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

This seems like seborrheic dermatitis - a condition similar to dandruff of the scalp. It can affect the face as dry, red scaly, itchy patches. Seborrheic dermatitis of the face and scalp is quite common in newborns and can have a remitting-relapsing course but it resolves after some time.

I suggest you apply a mild topical steroid cream e.g. Desonide cream or Hydrocortisone cream. Hydrocortisone is an over the counter topical steroid. You can get it from a drug store without a prescription whereas Desonide is available only on prescription.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Seborrheic dermatitis.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

You may continue with the moisturizing lotion but for the red patches, I also suggest you use a mild topical steroid e.g. Desonide cream or Cutisoft cream. Cutisoft is hydrocortisone and is an over the counter product.

Hope I have answered your query.
