Question: foot pain...redness and throbbing pain on the 1st knuckle of my right big toe...no accidents or events that could have triggered htis onset...2 days now..

painful to walk...although i have been able to work

Hello,

* Possible cellulitis of the right great toe ( which can be possible without injury).

* Primary guidelines at present

- Apply ice 3-4 times a day 5 minutes each over the area.
- Keep the right foot elevated over 3 pillows support when resting.
- Continue taking ibuprofen 3 times a day after meals.
- Avoid tight shoes.
- Kindly provide a photo picture of the big toe in follow up the conversation for further guidelines.
