How Can Severe Acne And Pitted Acne Scars On The Face Be Treated?
Question: My brother has acne pitted marks on his face. There are not much marks on chin and forehead. He has been prone to acne from his teenage and he is 27 now and he still gets acne. (But not as much as he used to get during his college days).
He works in night shift with little physical activity in the entire day.He will have cold (running nose) quite often. No other medical complications other than that.He uses lakme sunscreen lotion and clean and clear face wash regularly .
He hasn't tried much of home remedies so far to cure the acne marks. Please suggest what he can do to get rid of acne and pitted marks.

Brief Answer:
Salicylic acid facewash, adapalene gel, micro needling rf or TCA cross.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend your brother to use a salicylic acid facewash twice daily and applying adapalene gel on the pimples at night. This will help in improving his acne.
For pitted scars, he needs to consult a dermatologist and go for either micro needling radio frequency (mnrf) treatment of the scars or TCA cross Peels.
There are no oral and topical medicines that will improve the pitted scars.
Hope I have answered your query.
