Hello
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health
Recurrent muscle spasms at night can be due to several reasons including
-Peripheral vascular disease (decreased blood supply to legs)

It is very difficult for me to give a definite answer without evaluating you completely. A detailed physical examination and investigations will be needed.
Please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider for further evaluation and management.
Meanwhile stay hydrated, sleep on comfortable matters. Include diet rich in electrolytes like banana. You can also drink sports drinks like Gatorade.
While experiencing muscle spasm apply heating pad to help relax the muscles. You can also do calf stretching (stretch out your leg and bend foot upwards towards the leg while keeping knee straight).
If pain is very bothersome take Tylenol or advil for pain.
Hope this answers your questions
